With this post, the Corante Media Hub, months in the making, is officially launched. The hubs and the corollary Corante Network, about which we'll have lots to say in the coming weeks, are part of a major new direction from Corante that has us partnering with scores of the most thoughtful and interesting bloggers on specific topics and aggregating, distilling, and synthesizing their writings in sections (hubs) we believe provide value to news and information seekers who are looking to find their way to industry intelligence and unique insights, save time, and stay ahead of the curve.

The goal of this page: to become a trusted and useful tool for you - one that helps you find and sift through what's worth reading, one that provides valuable context and perspective, and one that engages in and extends the conversations so essential to the rise of social media.

Media, we can all agree, is in the midst of a major shift and it's our belief in and embrace of this, informed by our our learnings from the years spent working and playing hard in this space, that have led us to this reimagining of what Corante is and will be. So as much as this hub page is designed as an editorial product, it and the Corante Network have also been devised as part of our response to the factors and forces impacting media companies and the organizational and operational change we think the future holds in store for them.

We'll stop there and leave later posts, both here and in Corante's house blog, to explain more about what we're up to. For now we encourage you to poke around and get acquainted with the site, let us know what works for you and what doesn't, and most of all to tune into the insights and ideas of our talented contributors, many of the blogosphere's brightest minds. We're thrilled they've joined the expanding Corante family and look forward to, like you, listening in as they chronicle the evolution of the industry and hint at where it's headed.
